i was not able to find the article, but i think suggesting that chuck should retire if he loses is plainly ridiculous! the telegraph should not be so fickle in its support of great fighters like chuck liddell.

this reminds me a little of similar talk about rich franklin after his second loss to silva, should he retire or change divisions or organizations and such. this type of thinking really angers me. what makes the difference between true champion fighters and those who simply fade away is that champions find a way to overcome and defeat adversity while others are defeated. that to me is the essence of a fighter, and to suggest that chuck simply go away should he lose is disrespectful to the sport in my mind. imagine what mma would be if any fighter who lost a fight he should have won simply quit...we would have no GSP, no BJ Penn, no Chuck Liddell, and no mma.
