if your looking to add size you need to cause celluar destruction. This means high weight with reps until you can not do any more. if you are doing this right YOU WILL BE SORE if your not you did not do enoughincrease slightly until you are sore stay at that level until it no longer makes you sore and increase. use different types of exercises not the same one and do not foget the stabilizer muscles and the muscle groups around the one you want to target.
