You can use Opera to browse the web. That is free until June '07. You can also download Sega Genesis, TurboGrafx-16, NES, SNES, and N64 games using "Wii points" which you can buy in stores, or instantly with your credit card, and you can check your balance online. 2000 points is $US20 bucks and NES games start at 500 points, 600 for TG16, 800 for SNES & Genesis, and 1000 for N64. The Wii point price varies from country to country.

The number of games available for download grows on a monthly basis.
It's a great addition since your paying 10 bucks for an N64 game that was $60+ bucks, you don't have to worry about the cartridge not working, or plugging in an N64 for that matter, and more likely than not, the games that you can download will be the most popular of its time.

There are going to be a little over 30 of these old school available for download before the end of the year, and at least 10 are going to be added every month. Games from Nintendo's own library such as The Legend of Zelda, Excitebike, Punch-Out, F-Zero, Super Metroid, Super Mario Kart, Mario Kart 64, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Super Mario 64 to third party titles such as Tecmo (Ninja Gaiden series & more), Midway (Mortal Kombat games & more), Capcom, Konami,etc... About 25 of these third party supports are on board and that list will only get bigger. The support will vary depending on which companies want to work with Nintendo. There are also rumours of games from other consoles like the Saturn & Neo-Geo making their way in the future.

It also plays Gamecube games and has 4 slots for those controllers.

The downloaded stuff can also be saved to an SD card. ...rawk on
