I maybe contradicting some people here and might get some flack for it. But I've read numerous articles on ABS and basically abs are just like any other muscle group. To get rusults you go to stay within the 8-15 rep rage, maybe even a bit higher and you can't just focuss on your ABS. You must develop your entire body and loose total body fat to see results. Imagine doing 60 barbell curls for your biceps with reduced weights. You wouldn't really get much accomplished. So I suggest you increase your weight to where you can squeeze out 15 reps and also mix it up and do some non-weight crunches up to your max. It has worked for me. See this article:
