I know some people who have success with routines that have full body workouts, and I myself prefer them but don't find them as effective.
What I will say I think the most important thing and the reason for a lot of my lack of progress(though I have progressed) is simply focusing on adding weight consistently on all your big compound movements. Do this and eat a lot and you can't but gain size. Don't ever get too caught up in findind "the right program".
