I thought we could start a thread to help each other out with tips. Post a 1 Sentence graphics related tip that you think could help others. Im sure we can all learn from each other.
Heres my first one:
Layers are your friend. Use them for everything you add to your piece and name them!
When resizing images, smaller is good, bigger is bad. Everytime you make your image bigger, photoshop needs to regenerate the missing pixels and you lose quality.
Always go from big to small. Stretching an image will distort it's quality. But going down in size will retain quality, and at times make it even better.
Text is something you really need to master before you mess with it. A great piece can really be ruined by misplaced, or awkward looking text. For me, simple is always best, but if you're gonna have alot of text, make sure it's properly placed, and matches the theme of sig.
1. Blend your Renders!
2. Ensure the lighting matches both the Render/BG Image
3. Ensure the Colors/overall feel match both the Render/BG Image
I've seen sigs where the Render totally looks like a cut out..
This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old thread. Please consider creating a new thread.
