Running will destroy your body a lot faster than lifting. As will kickboxing(which is probably the worst culprit as far as knee damage goes).

Also how do you replicate squats and deadlifts? With Machines? They are not "safer".

I'd also love to know where this idea that Deads and squats are so bad came from(not just targetting you Xeb, loads of people think it) yet bench press is the safest thing on the planet. Powerlifters seem to end up with way more injuries from benching than anyhting else.
