Yeah it was, but come on. Water post workout? Protein shakes, gatorade, choclate also has a lot to do with what you are doing in this "workout" but water isn't going to help you recover.

As for a bannana two hours before working out, if thats all you can handle thats fine, but more substantial than a bannana is pretty much self explanatory.
