Why feed Rashad Evans another unknown, when he has won 4 in a row and even though there has been some question as to weather or not he can finish.....his last fight against Lambert was pretty impressive.....so why not give him a decent fighter.....or someone people know so he can make his way into contention......is it becuase they are pretty deep at LHW and are saving him.....or is it they dont think he is ready to start moving up the ladder.....thoughts?
Yeah, I'd also like to see Rashad face somebody who is not unknown! But then again, fighting these unknowns first will give him more fighting experiance! This way when he does fight somebody real, like Tito Ortiz or Babalu, he won't get his ass handed to him like Nate Quarry! The same with Josh Koscheck!
i think you'll notice a lot of ufc fights are to be able to better market a fighter. with the tuf guys, theyve got fighters who a lot of people will recognise, and cheer for. if they were to put these fighters immediatly against better fighters, then casual fans might not follow the ufc as much as it would be too confusing for them to know who to cheer for. thats a dumbed down version, but the point is still there. reasons why liddell has fought wrestlers and rematches? money, marketing, money. the shamrock/ortiz "fued" did nothing but make both men rich, if anyone here actually thought old ass ken had any chance you need to give your head a shake. so back to the rashad topic, if he ko's a bunch of guys, or even just wins 10 fights in a row, imagine how much easier it would be to sell a big name fight with him in it? (que announcers voice)"Ortiz who's only loss in 6 fights was to liddell, Evans who's unbeaten in the ufc" (now show highlight reel making people say oooh ahh) poof youve got people paying to watch the fight.
I think 4 going on 5 fights is enough time to get used to the cage and get a little exp......I would just like to see him test himself and see how he does

excellent point.....but I wouldnt think less of rashad if he lost to a Babalu or a Tito.........just look what it did to Forrest.......he blew up even more after the loss to tito......
the uf always looks after certian fighters .to be honest i just think rashad isnt as marketable as a forest it happens all the time at ufc.i hope rashad gets a big fight soon i mean people like rory singer are getting to fight ufc events and rashad makes do with ufn
i am a big fan of rashad in his last two fight i think he has been good, the way he handeld bonnar he threw him about like a barbie doll and was excellent against lambert, but i want to see him fight someone like babalu,i think nows the time he did fight someone in the top 5 lhw.
