Weight loss

I understand that weight loss means a well balanced diet. It also includes exercise. But more specifically, what types of exercises would be more beneficial towards weight loss.
Full body workouts perhaps?
Plyometrics or polymetric workouts or whatever they are called. (Berpees for example)
