AfflictionWorld renowned MMA clothing company, Affliction, reached into their pockets and pulled together an organization of top fighters, marketed & publicized by Affliction Entertainment VP, Tom Atencio. This organization, unlike their competition, is open to cross-promotion.
I agree about the small things. For example, the announcing twice. First announcer while they were alking to the ring sounded terrible too. The announcing was a little less concerted then I expected, but still provided good play-by-play and analysis. That is all I look for. No one will be as good as Bas in there. I agree with your opinion of Trump also.
Michael Buffer has always been better then his brother. I gotta think his brother wouldn't even be an announcer if it weren't for hte elder Buffer. That is all boxing had on MMA. Now MMA has that too.
Just was curious about your reasons thanks for responding.
Actually, I f**ked up, I meant to say that Bruce was actually better then Michael these days. I got them mixed up. I didn't think Micheal did that great tonight. Bruce just seems like he's more into MMA, Michael was just there for the paycheck.
The fights were good though and thats whats really important. AA vs Rothwell was the best fight of night imo.

Was he really? That sucks. I remember he being great. I muted it most of the time in between the actual fights because I was watching both shows. (NO DVR)

I cant believe so many people are singing Afflictions praises, the production was possible the worst I've seen, especially the audio which was abismal, the commentary was mediocre although they did seem to find the way near the end of the card, Megadeth stunk up the card everytime I started to get into it, the ring annoucing was horrid for the undercard and Buffer only did a slightly better job on the main card, they take time to announce the celebrities in attendance and cant even get it right announcing Stone Steve Austin, the annoucers practically were writing off Whitehead before the Babalu fight even started which I though kind of ruined it, the refs (not Afflictions fault) were horrible at controlling the ring, The super card of the century turned out mediocre at best and is never gonna be even remotely a threat to the UFC unless they do some major improvements, it was at best the IFL with a bigger budget, hell even Elite XC does a better job with the production of there shows.
But it really was a good first attempt at putting on a show... seriously though, they are a T-Shirt company first and formost.
The Megadeath musical segways were unnecessary... but reminiscent of BoDog with Biff Naked...
My guess is that they are trying to gain some extra appeal by mixing it up with some music their target demographic likes... the same demographic that buys their clothing brand.
All-in-all, it was worth the PPV buy... I dont expect much from 1.0 shows.

I though Babalu/Whitehead was passablen but I did not think was anything special, the complete disrespect of Whitehead by Babalu's cornermen was embarrassing, "your better than this prick",
I though Lindland looked like shit, Lindland used to be a badass, old Lindland would have destoryed Negao in no time and the 3rd was both guys gassed,
Dewees didnt even belong in the ring with Nog and the annoucers were even kinded enough to again remind us of that before the fight, thanks Trigg.
Homminick/Young was a fun fight but how often do FW's dissapoint?
Barnett/Rizzo was different than what I expected but was a good fight,
Arlovski/Rothwell was awesome,
Fedor dominating Sylvia was impressive as hell but it was pretty anticlimatic through no fault of anybody.
