AfflictionWorld renowned MMA clothing company, Affliction, reached into their pockets and pulled together an organization of top fighters, marketed & publicized by Affliction Entertainment VP, Tom Atencio. This organization, unlike their competition, is open to cross-promotion.
i dont see why, Fedor proved last night ( but not to us that always new he is undisputed at HW ( check my prev. post if you guys think im just jumping a bandwagon))that he has no equal. he is just the best fighter out there .... period. Randy wouldnt have shait on Fedor. I really dont get how anybody could really think Sylvia would take Fedor, thats just mindblowing to me. ( i get that some of you vBookied it for Sylvia but with those odds you sort of could hope )
but to the point. Couture would loose terrible, no ifs and buts, he just will, cuz fedor is a better fighter period.
I though Lindland looked like shit, Lindland used to be a badass, old Lindland would have destoryed Negao in no time and the 3rd was both guys gassed
Old Lindland? You mean the one who knocked himself out, or the one who got knocked out in 24 seconds, or the one who cheated against Bustamente and still lost?

i said this before..im a couture fan..but if he will fight with fedor, fedor will beat him.. but it will not be a walk in the park for fedor.. styles makes fight..thats why i think randy will give him a hard time..

As far as production, I liked the Pride in America production that was about two years ago. Michael Buffer was there for a paycheck. I always liked Lenny Hart from the Pride shows but not everyone likes her.
Affliction wasn't UFC and it wasn't Pride. They were kind of in the middle. Let's give them a chance. This was their first show.
Megadeth may not have been my choice but at least it was something different. This is just the beginning.
John McCarthy did an awesome job commenting and interviewing the fighters. We had blood on the camera -- that was pretty cool. Jay Glazer and Frank Trigg were a nice break from Joe Rogan.
Arlovski had been very boring in his last few fights and last night he gave us a good show. That flying knee was brutal.
Does anyone know how much these guys made last night? I don't like the idea of fighters being on Dana's six-figure "salary" and making anywhere from $3,500 to maybe $40,000 when the PPV revenue is in the tens of millions of dollars. Mike Tyson used to get $10 to $25 million for a fight in the 80s so why shouldn't MMA fighters get a good paycheck?
Someone said earlier, "Dana needs to sign Fedor." I'm sure Dana tried to sign Fedor after he destroyed PrideFC. Fedor knew his worth and probably didn't want to fight for peanuts and have to prove himself all over again by starting at the bottom.
I have a feeling Minotauro and a lot of these UFC fighters will leave UFC at the end of their contracts and seek the bigger paychecks that also come with freedom to choose their opponents.
Finally, Fedor's annihilation of Tim did NOT surprise me. I expected it to go longer but it did not surprise me. I've followed Fedor a long time. Dana milked that Silvia/Arlovski soap opera for every dime he could and even had people believing they were the best. After all, he did buy PrideFC and closed it down. Tim tapped from a half-hearted ankle lock from Arlovski and tapped in less than 30 seconds after he and Minotauro hit the ground. Fedor doesn't tap and slap and dance around. He comes with punches in bunches and finishes the fight.
I'm sorry I could not get this fight live b/c I've watched a bunch of them and the fights were all pretty good w/ exciting finishes.
Just want to say how happy I am that Fedor absolutely destroyed Shrek,er Sylvia. Hope he can fight (and destroy) Randy next; maybe then Dana White will finally shut his hole about Fedor. I mean, what more can he really say after that? Fedor has beaten his current HW champ, now a former HW champ and hopefully another UFC legend. Anything that shuts Dana up makes me happy.
It's events like this that give me hope that someone will break the UFC stranglehold here in the states.
