CBS had much better presentation than Affliction no doubt.

100% agree, Vera was pathetic at 205 and the Franca/Edgar fight didn't excite me. I guess it's just that I really don't like the majority of the Affliction fighters. Of everyone they had there, Fedor and Little Nog are really the only ones I want to see in UFC, maybe Arlovski.

Is no one else amazed at Barnett's win? He has never knocked anybody out. It came out of nowhere. Amazing left hook.

I don't think it means NOTHING that Fedor beat Tim... but it means less for Fedor than it meant when Randy beat him. When Randy beat Tim he was the HW champ of the UFC and on a six fight win streak including two wins vs Arlovski, plus Monson and Assuerio Silva. When Fedor fought him he held no title, had lost two of his previous three, and only beaten Vera by holding him against the cage the whole fight (an unimpressive win like that doesn't help you much in terms of rankings).

So that's why it meant more when Randy beat him. One could also argue that Randy exposed a weakness in Tim's game that Fedor took advantage of- his opening gameplan (get inside fast and knock Tim down before he can feel out your reach, then scramble for the sub) was exactly what Randy did. Of course Fedor definitely had a better idea of what would really work on Tim, cause Randy had already almost finished Tim that exact way... and of course Fedor's sub game is stronger than Randy's.

I've never understood how Randy Couture got vaulted to the top of the HW rankings in the first place. He was a 14-8 fighter who was mysteriously elevated to GOAT status after just 2 wins, Sylvia and Gonzaga. I think Couture is a great fighter with a lot of heart, but I don't see why he's placed on such a pedestal.

Personally, I think Barnett would be a better test for Fedor. (Maybe Arlovski if he comes out firing on all cylinders)
Good first post!

I think Randy better remember the old saying, "be careful what you ask for, you just might get it"

Fedor is going to own Randy.

Finally watched Belfort's fight, and all I can say is that it's shocking to see Randy Couture in his corner screaming at him to let his hands go.

I hope Vitor finally sticks with a good camp/team for awhile, impressive debut at 185. Xtreme Couture and/or Chute Boxe for Vitor please, which ever one kept his head right and filled the gas tank.

Yeah, never thought I would hear that kind of advice from Vitor's corner

Just kind of shocking for me to see Couture cornering Belfort. Especially after Randy's first beatdown lead to a more cautious Belfort (after Wandy fight) and his final drubbing just sent him to Cage Rage.

So, I thought Rogerio looked pretty good. Sure, it was against DeWees, who sucks, but Rogerio picked that kid apart. Nasty knee's in the plum clinch.
