I noticed that too.. it's just learning from life and growin up, I've seen the same thing happen to other fighters and people I know. They used to run their mouth a lot, but they get sick of eating their words.. and realize it really is the high road to let your skills do the talking. Trash talk might be nice to hype a fight or get publicity, but it can play games with your own head as much as your opponent. Ortiz seems a lot mellower now too (aside from the Dana stuff), he actually gave Machida a ton of respect if you look at the whole pre-fight stuff.

Ortiz

Yeah, Ortiz has a lot riding on that fight. I'm thinking he already has enough pressure to win that one without having to add a personal aspect to it too. What's he doing once he's out the UFC? He's burned bridges there and I don't know what he's going on to next.

He'll probably go to EliteXC, where he will be paid a lot because of his drawing power.

On big Tim id also have to agree, he seems waaay more mellowed out nowadays which is a good thing. Mind you if he somehow beats Fedor he will gain some fans and some serious respect - dont see it happening though. I can imagine Fedor winning this and then having a fight with Randy on an Affliction card at years end. That would be huge also.

Im finding it hard to find a better card than this Affliction card - i just hope the production value holds up better then elite XC.

With Arlovski and Barnett in Affliction too, I'm not that excited about seeing Fedor-Couture, I would rather see Barnett-Fedor and Arlovski-Fedor TBH.

6 fights I really want to see.

Is this going to be on PPV? I would pay 50$ to watch this event live on tv.

The main card is on PPV, the undercard will be aired on Fox Sports.

Fans didn't like Tim, not so much because he was an ass, but because he came across as weird. I loved that about him though. He said he would wear his belt to the supermarket, the idea of seeing him like that cracks me up. I respect that guy tons though. I would probably wear the belt to the laundromat if I had it.
