Aleksander is very good. He has three losses, all to top level fighters (Cro Cop, Josh Barnett, and Fabricio Werdum), but his wins (although mostly over lesser known fighters) have been VERY convincing. His stand up is exceptional, his strikes are accurate and crisp. He's been stalled mostly by the level of competition available. He was coming into his own just as UFC was becoming dominant over Pride, so Aleksander was relegated to fighting second tier fighters.

The guy's standup is ridiculous. He has 3 KOs in less than 30 secs, and moves like a dancer for a guy that size. He was actually considered more of a natural athlete and fighter than Fedor, it's just that he doesn't have as good a work ethic.
I attended the Affliction Banned press conf. in New York and let me say these athletes are amazing. All were super cool except for one. After the press conference we got to meet all the fighters and get autographs and photos with them. Of all the fighters the only one that sat down and was rude with attitude was Silvia. The rest were friendly as hell. They would make sure your pictures turned out good and if not they said "lets take another". I got a picture squaring off with Fedor. Those were the scariest eyes I have looked into. This card will destroy any other out there. Also Affliction handed out free T-shirts.

And how can you say Fedor's eyes are scary? Everytime I look at him I just think about an oversized friendly doughboy who can kick your ass. I swear, he's like one of the friendliest looking people ever when he's not fighting haha.
