AfflictionWorld renowned MMA clothing company, Affliction, reached into their pockets and pulled together an organization of top fighters, marketed & publicized by Affliction Entertainment VP, Tom Atencio. This organization, unlike their competition, is open to cross-promotion.
I think its a big waste of money. There is no upside to this. The MMA fans who are going to watch this show will do so regardless if they play or not and the fans of Megadeath aren't going persauded to spend 40 bucks to see someting they have never seen before, certainly not to see them play a 5 minute set. These bands also don't come cheap.

I sincerely doubt that Megadeth is doing this because they want their fans to check them out on a one night show. And I also doubt that Affliction is trying to draw in a different set of crowd with this move, they are involving Megadeth because it's kool, thats it, nothing more. There is no more added science to this than what you are thinking, Charles.

Maybe so. But if thats their plan than its a dumb one. They are already hemorrhaging a boat loat of money on this show (and by their own admission don't expect to make any profits from it) and with this they are just digging a bigger hole for themselves with no possibility of a return
on this investment. Its just a bad business decision.
