Fedor Emelianenko Will Fight Three Times In The Next Six Months

M-1 Global president, Vadim Finkelstein, recently revealed that Fedor Emelianenko will attempt to make up for his inactivity over the past couple of years by fighting at least three times in the next six months.
"Two more fights are planned for Fedor," said Finkelstein. "The first one in October in the context of the next Affliction show in conjunction with M-1 Global. The second one at New Year’s Eve in Japan, most likely it’s going to be the M-1 Challenge Finale and Fedor will compete in a superfight, probably his opponent will be the winner of ‘Fighting Fedor’ or another top fighter."
Fighting Fedor is a reality show featuring 16 heavyweight contestants from all over the world. The contestants will be vying for the oppertunity to face Fedor Emelianenko in the shows finale, likely on New Years Eve. The fighters will travel to "Northern Venice" Saint Petersburg where they will live and train with Club Red Devil (Fedor's Fight Team).
The fighters will face one another in consecutive matches over the span of the series until only one remains.
"The shooting is commencing come the end of July-early August," said Finklestiein. "Right now we round every tiny thing out."
Good to hear, if he wins all 3 he's undoubtelby the no.1 man especially since Nog will be inactive throughout the whole time tangled up with TUF 8, but im surprised they're going through the reality show 'fighting fedor' i mean, hes in affliction where there are many good fighters to fight him. Tim, AA, Barnett and even if he went to UFC (doubt it) there's Nog, Gonzaga and Werdum, plenty of competition.
Besides, Fedor would have more competition in one of the robot wars show. but hopefully they change the name of 'fighting fedor' to 'Cyborg v. Man'
The fighting Fedor BS really is happening? And that's who he will be fighting at NYE ? He should fight a top 10 opponent at NYE not some unknown guy, its just adding fuel to the fire of "he's not fighting top 10 guys". But over all, its good new to know Fedor will be as active in fighting.

If he wins at Banned, I say give him a line-up of Japanese wrestler to slaughter to hype him some more and then set up a "super-fight" between him and Couture/Barnett.
I thought they were gonna try to setup another bout with CroCop on NYE? If he beats Sylvia it would be nice to see him fight Arlovski or Barnett in October but fighting a can on NYE would suck.
I mostly just wanted to see Fedor vs Coture but after all the drama Im not even pumped to see him beat up big Tim.
