Whats your assesment about Affliction?

Whats your assesment about Affliction?

The commentators were not bad but i have to admit, its not that good either..They should have put Bas in there..
The transition of the broadcasting is not very organized but we have to consider that this is the first show.
They should have made a long entrance ramp ala Pride..

But more importantly, I personally think the matches were interesting..

Hope to see another show like this again..

yeah Bas would be good. I could do with a little less Megadeath too, but the fights were much better then UFC's card

They didn't have the harmony of Goldie and Joe or Bas and Mauro, but it was nice to have Big Jon in there.

For the first show, I thought it was great. The fights were impressive, I liked the entrances. The commentating was ok and Big Jon was a little shaky with the post-fight interviews, but it'll get better. I could have done without Megadeath, but whatever... I'd listen to Garth Brooks if I had to in order to see Fedor destroy somebody.

Less mega death more girls running around in their skimpies, and this would have been the best card I have ever seen.

I was truthfully hoping that Affliction would put on a show that matched or even surpassed the UFC as I think two top tier organizations would do the sport some good, but honestly I have to say that Banned really turned out to be second rate. Of course there were a few good fights and seeing Fedor destroy Tim was worth the PPV but everything else about the show was lack luster and just flat out boring. Really not what I was expecting and only reinforced the fact that the UFC owns the MMA game with every other organization being way behind.

They should allow awesome entrances like in K-1. I thought it was good for a first show, i'm sure they will get better

i thought it was very good, for a first showing.Sure there is room for improvement. The UFC has done 86 shows plus UFN's etc, so they have the experience. Top notch first effort, and truly awesome fights. Good job. The UFC event sucked bigtime anyhow.

gss99 has a little shameless behaviour in the past
I think overall Affliction did an outstanding job. It was their first event. Lets remember that UFC has been in business since 1980. It's insane to compare a brand new business to one who has been doing it for 20 years.

Commentators did a good job. I really think they need a guy in their with a lot of energy. There's too many big subdued guys. They need a guy who talks a lot and maybe has some humor to him. I have no idea who though. Maybe hire some comedian.

What disappointed me was the lack of pirotechnics. A little pyro here and there and when the fighters came out would have been nice but also a safety issue I realize.

I say take the money you gave Megadeth and invest in pyrotechnics next time or a nice light show instead.

Overall, great night. No early stoppages. REfs did a fantastic job. The last two fights were amazing. Arlovski's fight was amazing. The Arlovski fight and Fedor fight were the best fights that I have seen in a long time. Maybe since Pride.
