AfflictionWorld renowned MMA clothing company, Affliction, reached into their pockets and pulled together an organization of top fighters, marketed & publicized by Affliction Entertainment VP, Tom Atencio. This organization, unlike their competition, is open to cross-promotion.
Chuck Liddell has 1 fight left on is contract with the UFC. If he decides not to retire and fight his last fight and then become a free agent do you think it woul dbe in the interest of Affliction to sign him? Or maybe Strikeforce?

Hhmm would signing the biggest draw in MMA history be a good idea? Kind of a silly question isnt it? Depiste all the hype around message boads for fights like Fedor/Barnette or Rogers/Overeem, Chuck Liddell could draw more viewer to fight Mike F***ing Whitehead than both the HW title fights combined. Liddell is one of the biggest names in the sport and his recent losses may have slightly diminished his drawing power but he would still out sell 99% of the guys in MMA and he would definatly out draw anyone on either Affliction or Strikeforces rosters.
Definitely Strikeforce.. with Bablau and possibly Tito signing a deal it would definitely give Strikeforce that star power they need. This is offtopic but I would like to see Bobby Lashley in Strikeforce too.
The reason I say Strikeforce over Affliction is because I don't seen Affliction lasting long enough to sign Chuck Liddell because I feel like their 3rd event is gonna be their last one. I don't think Chuck Liddell could save them. While Strikeforce is a hungry young company who will be here years to come and Chuck Liddell could bring alot to the company.
I agree with the above poster. I think Strikeforce would be better for both, Chuck Liddell and that promotion. I don't see Affliction lasting very long either.

Signing Chuck would have been great for Affliction, but it seems like they probably wasted a large amount of there money overpaying a bunch of guys that clearly arent worth it from a business standpoint. It would cost them way to much money to sign Chuck as this point, he could ask for twice what they paid Fedor, Silva or Arlovski and be pretty well justified in doing so. I agree that Affliction wont be here much longer and i dont think he will fight outside of the UFC, but if he did it would have to be strikeforce if he was gonna fight in the U.S.
The only problem with this tread is it will never happen. Chuck is a Dana guy and Dana hates the owner of affliction, chuck would never disrespect dana like that. Now strikeforce is a different story I would love to see chuck sign there.
I have a different reason why it would be more beneficial for Chuck to sign with Strikeforce and not Affliction. First, with the exception of shared fighters there is no big competition for Chuck in Affliction! Who is he going to fight, Mousasi? Second, rubbermatches with the likes of Tito and Sobral, a rematch with Randleman and fights with up and coming stars like Whitehead and maybe even his TUF protege Southworth would draw much more than anything that Affliction can put together! I say these reasons because I believe that Affliction can survive in the long run and if they don't survive than Strikeforce will probably buy their assets out like they bout EliteXC!
yea, I agree with a few of the comments above. Chuck will never sign with anyone other than the UFC.
The way I see it, Dana will probably give Chuck his last fight and after that Chuck will become part of the UFC office team as Dana had mentioned. I'm sure Chuck will get paid well for his new position.
...sure beats getting your face pounded and ktfo for a pay check.
