Lyoto Machida proved to the world that he is the king of the 205 pounds division when he defeated the former Light Heavyweight Champion Rashard Evans for the title.
The Dragon came out of the championship fight rather unscathed while delivering a knockout blow to Rashard Evans in the second round in UFC 98.
As the long time training partner of the Lyoto Machida, the Middleweight Champion Andserson Silva is not showing too much interest in moving up to Machida’s weight class to dispute the newly crowned champion’s title.
The manager of both fighters, Ed Soares did not rule out the potential matchup but Dana White, the president of the UFC will probably have to write out a $100 Million paycheck for that to happen according to some news reports.
