Anderson Silva planning debut as heavyweight?
Anderson Silva has apparently expressed interest in fighting at heavyweight, and Frank Mir has been put forward as a possible first opponent. The idea seems ot make sense if Silva isn't interested in contenders at middleweight and won't fight the 205lb champion Lyoto Machida. He would certainly be more challenged at heavyweight also, particularly with the prospect of fighting guys who have to cut weight to make 265lbs.

He could fight smaller heavy weights, but I struggle to see him beat a big guy like Kongo say... I dunno, I wouldn't bet against him, at the very least Silva's footwork would be good enough for him to outpoint a lot of people. But after a takedown he would be boned.

Completely agreed, if any Heavyweight gets ontop of Silva then hes in some serious trouble..
