Officially, Kenny Florian will be getting a second chance to become UFC lightweight champion on Saturday night at UFC 101 (pay-per-view, 10 ET) in Philadelphia. In some ways, though, it will be his first.
When Florian stepped into the Octagon on Oct. 14, 2006, to face then-lightweight champ Sean Sherk, he had a slim chance of leaving victorious. Despite having won three fights in a row -- each by early stoppage -- the Westwood, Mass., native was a mixed martial arts infant.
