Round 1 - Hess looks much bigger here. Shlemenko is hesitant here with the desire to not get put on his back. Knee from Shlemenko as Hess shoots in and Hess gets the quick, easy takedown into side control. Hess takes his back in a scramble. Brief opportunity for a twister for Hess but instead he's back to regular back control. Shlemenko tries to stand up but can't as Hess has control of his body. Rear naked choke attempt and Shlemenko escapes. Shlemenko back to his feet but Hess still has his body locked up. Hess finally gets the takedown again and again takes the back. Shlemenko manages to get up and just misses a big knee. Spinning back fist from Shlemenko and Hess takes him right back down. 10-9 round for Hess.
Round 2 - Hess with a quick takedown and Shlemenko goes for the guillotine but can't finish the submission and now Hess is in his guard. Hess working ground and pound while Shlemenko keeps trying to catch a triangle. Deep triangle is locked in by Shlemenko, now trying to switch to an armbar and Hess escapes. Now Shlemenko with a leg lock and again Hess escapes. Hess back on top in the guard and Shlemenko deserves credit for trying to be active off his back. 10-9 Hess.
Round 3 - Right away Hess gets another takedown avoiding the knee that Shlemenko tries to throw. Shlemenko manages to stand up. KNEE FROM SHLEMENKO AND HESS IS OUT! Wait, they aren't stopping it, the fight is still going and now Shlemenko is on top in the guard of Hess. Shlemenko stands back up and Hess can't get back to his feet, he's wobbly and can't stand up correctly. Hess's knee is badly dislocated. The fight is over.
