Stinson smoothly transitions to an armbar but can't finish it and eats a right hand from Carl for his trouble. Stinson with a great transition to a triangle and Carl slams him but can't shake Stinson. Stinson holding on and Carl tries again. After fighting the sub attempt with Stinson looking to have it locked deep Carl escapes. As they go to the feet Stinson attempts for a takedown of his own and Carl locks in a nasty guillotine that puts Stinson to sleep. Great short fight. Steve Carl wins by submission (guillotine choke), round 1.
