Final Bellator 106 salaries: Eddie Alvarez tops payroll with $160K

The final disclosed payroll for the card was $551,500.

While Alvarez earned the top overall payday with $160,000, Joe Riggs actually earned the biggest win bonus. He earned $5,000 to show, but by defeating Mike Bronzoulis in the "Fight Master" tournament final, he pocketed an additional $95,000 as a win bonus.

Following the distribution of show money and win bonuses, here are the final payouts for Bellator 106:

Eddie Alvarez: $160,000 (includes $80,000 win bonus)
def. Michael Chandler: $95,000

Emanuel Newton: $20,000 (includes $10,000 win bonus)
def. Muhammed Lawal: $10,000

Daniel Straus: $40,000 (includes $20,000 win bonus)
def. Pat Curran: $40,000

Joe Riggs: $100,000 (includes $95,000 win bonus)
def. Mike Bronzoulis: $5,000

Mike Richman: $14,000 (includes $7,000 win bonus)
def. Akop Stepanyan: $3,000

Jesse Juarez: $6,000 (includes $3,000 win bonus)
def. Joe Williams: $3,000

Cristiano "Soldier Boy" Souza: $6,000 (includes $3,000 win bonus)
def. Alejandro Garcia: $2,000

Brandon Halsey: $10,000 (includes $5,000 win bonus)
def. Hector Ramirez: $7,000

Mike Guymon: $14,000 (includes $7,000 win bonus)
def. Aaron Miller: $4,000

Cleber Luciano: $6,000 (includes $3,000 win bonus)
def. Joe Camacho: $2,000

Josh Smith: $3,000 (includes $1,500 win bonus)

Now, the usual disclaimer: The figures do not include deductions for items such as insurance, licenses and taxes. Additionally, the figures do not include money paid by sponsors, which can oftentimes be a substantial portion of a fighter's income.

Wow Riggs contract must be the equivalent of an all in with your mortgage poker bet ... $5000 to show and $95000 to win?

Good for him he's on a nice winning streak, second highest payout on a card that includes multiple champs and former champs without ever having held a belt himself.

Pretty poor pay scale overall though, Bellator and UFC are really two peas in a pod. Like Coke / Pepsi, McD / BK, Democrats / Republicans etc. WSOF seems better for how small a show they are and the level of fighters they have, most of their winners break 5 figures at least.

You need to remember when comparing pay scales that due to less people watching they are not getting the sponsorship money they would get in the UFC either.
