The quarterfinal brackets for Bellator's next featherweight tournament are now set.

The promotion recently announced three matchups to take place at its "Summer Series," which kicks off at Bellator 46. Marlon Sandro vs. Genair da Silva marks the first quarterfinal matchup, while Ronnie Mann vs. Adam Schindler, Pat Curran vs. Luis Palomino and Nazareno Malegarie vs. Jacob Devree round things out.

Bellator 46 takes place June 25 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Fla., and airs live on MTV2.

Bellator's "Summer Series" includes monthly events in June, July and August. The series includes many non-tournament fights, but the featherweight tourney earns the winner $100,000 in total pay and a guaranteed title shot at the 145pound title.

Sandro (17-2 MMA, 0-0 BFC), a training partner of UFC featherweight champ Jose Aldo, brings an impressive resume to his Bellator debut despite being unable to defend his Sengoku title in his most recent fight against the top-ranked Hatsu Hioki. It was just his second professional setback.

"I am coming to the U.S. to become a world champion,” Sandro stated in an official release. "I see Bellator as the place to really make a name for myself here in the U.S."

Silva (10-3 MMA, 0-0 BFC) is, of course, on a mission to spoil Sandro's debut. He brings a five-fight win streak in regional Brazilian competition to the Bellator cage.

Mann (19-2-1 MMA, 1-0 BFC), who impressed in his promotional debut this past month at Bellator 42, shares an enemy with Sandro in Hioki, who handed him one of only two losses in his professional career. The Japanese fighter served as his most recent setback with three wins marking his entrance into the tournament.

"Trying to capture the Bellator featherweight world championship is absolutely my main goal, Mann stated. "I don't care how long it takes. That's what I'm here to do."

Schindler (9-1 MMA, 0-0 BFC) boasts a six-fight win streak on his way to the Bellator cage.

Curran (13-4 MMA, 3-1 BFC) returns to his natural weightclass after recently suffering a loss in a bid to unseat Bellator lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez.

"I've fought at featherweight for most of my career, so I'm really excited to get back to a weightclass where I can really do some damage," Curran stated. "I had some great results as a lightweight, but I'm really going to make some noise in this summer featherweight tournament."

Meanwhile, five-time Bellator veteran Palomino (16-6 MMA, 3-2 BFC), who fought in the promotion's very first event, looks to find success in his second bid at a featherweight tournament crown.

Malegarie (19-1 MMA, 0-1 BFC) is on the mend after suffering his first career setback at Bellator 37. He took on Daniel Straus in a featured fight and lost a unanimous decision. Nevertheless, he counts 17 stoppage wins in his 19 career fights and has trained in Brazilian jiu-jitsu since age 12.

Devree (10-1 MMA, 0-0 BFC) is riding a seven-fight win streak in regional competition and has earned four of his 10 career wins via submission.

I can see why this is called the Summer Series. They have one fight card every month. One thing that I think is an advantage is for weight.
