starting Day 3 of getting my arse back into shape
Its been over 10 years since I went to an actual gym. Lots of time spent debating and working out at home and at the office... but not an actual gym per se.
I stopped going because I herniated two disks... and the scar tissue is still an on going problem... but I had enough of being in 'recovering' mode.
Yeah, I skipped day 1 & 2... seeing that I spent most of that time just acclimatizing my muscles to those motions they have since forgotten. But today is the day I actually try push outside of my comfort zone.
Day 1 was horrific, as I hit the pec-deck with little weight but felt each strand of muscle fibre tear... Day 2 consisted of recovering from day 1... afterward I was icing down the tendon soreness. (I leave a day between workouts... doing the mon,wed,friday thing).
So here I am in day 3... its a freaky self-conscious feeling heading back... when I was younger, this woulda been no problem... but now... I'm the old guy in the gym.
