5. Fedor Emelianenko vs. Randy Couture
Its huge draw. The Best Fighter on the Planet vs. The Greatest Champion of All Time. Russian vs. American. Its a legacy fight. One person would be cemented as the best HW fighter of our era. Its at #5 because (fingers crossed) there is still time.
4. Rickson Gracie vs. Kazushi Sakuraba
It should have been put up, or shut up time. Sakuraba was the Gracie Hunter and Rickson was the self proclaimed "best". The fact this fight never happened shows that Rickson's record is questionable...at best.
3. Bas Rutten vs. Rickson Gracie
Bas called him out. He wanted to fight the best and thought he could give Rickson a run for his money. Interestingly enough, we never heard back from Rickson. Lame.
2. Wanderlei Silva vs. Randy Couture
Did everyone forget about this fight? Seriously, Chuck vs. Wanderlei wasn't even considered to be a big fight until Liddell beat Couture. When Couture was down at 205, this was a dream match for me and I think it would make a great fight.
1. Frank Shamrock vs. Ken Shamrock
Could you imagine the draw for this fight? The best part is, they would actually do it. Both guys don't like each other and want to fight. It still may happen, but its a shame it didn't happen 3-5 years ago, when both fighters were still relevant. Frank is still a great fighter, but Ken hasn't looked the same for quite awhile.
Those are just my opinions. Throw in some other fights you think are better, adjust my rankings...debate it. Thats the fun part of these blogs.
