3 Ways Zuffa Could Help Itself: the UFC and WEC

1. The lower teir of TUF fighters should have bilateral contracts with the UFC and the WEC. Zuffa can put fighters on card's in either organization to build fan appeal in BOTH organizations, not just the UFC. The bottom teir of TUF fighters are not ready for UFC caliber fights, but have instant name recognition. It would help WEC ratings while giving the TUFfer's legitimate experience and help them build their games/status.
2. Replay TUF on VS. and WEC on Spike. Zuffa doesn't want to mess with either TV deal, but some limited exposure would bring fans in from one org. to the other.
3. Have, for example, a WEC 145 title fight on a UFC ppv card. Urijah Faber is a marketable fighter that the average UFC fan doesn't know much about. Highlighting a FW Title match in a prominent spot such as a PPV (or free TV event on Spike) would bring fans in to the WEC. With Jens Pulver at 145 now, he would make another marketable opponent for a possible fight in the UFC.
I think crossover is key for Zuffa building its fan base. Rather than trying to continually get new fans who have never watched the sport, they should be trying to get fans who just choose to watch other organizations and have not checked out the UFC or, more likely, the WEC.
