Underrated/Unknown Fighters #2

Posted 12-05-2007 at 01:24 AM by bbjd7
Well I'm only giving you guys 1 fighter today since this guy is so underrated he deserves his own post.
Paul Daley[/U][/B]

A big name in England he hasn't gotten much attention in the states which is a shame. The guy holds wins over UFC vets Jess Liuden, Dave Strasser, and Duane "Bang" Ludwig. And English stars Xavier Foupa Pokam, Sol Gilbert, and Mark Weir.

He has had trouble with Chute Boxe fighters since 2 of his last 3 losses are to Chute Boxe guys. However Jean Silva and Luiz Azeredo are no pushovers. His other loss is to Kitaoka who has beaten Pellgrino, Condit, and other top fighters.

Paul Daley has some real strong stand up and very good GnP. His submission game is above average and he could defiantly put up a fight against anyone in the Pro Elite orgs WW division including Shields.

Daley often starts slow but he can pick it up quickly and has some real dangerous punches, kicks, and knees.

For my first post on my blog I ranked the lightweights. I will get to the other weight classes too but right now I feel like I should cover some of these big fights coming up.

We have the Ultimate Finale saturday, UFC 79 on December 29th, and this New Year's Eve M-1 card in Japan. There are also a few more mentionable shows coming up like WEC31 on I think the 12th. That has the Filho/Sonnen fight on it as well as Jens at 145 and Urijah Faber so it should be decent.HDnet is also coming...

Monday Night Football (New England vs. Baltimore) Can the Patriots be beaten??

Posted 12-04-2007 at 12:56 PM by Sterling
New England looked mighty beatable Monday night, needing a late touchdown drive, a untimley timeout, and some sketchy penalties to beat the Baltimore Ravens 27-24. The winning drive in the final minutes covered 73 yards and required two fourth-down conversions, one of those on a defensive holding penalty by Baltimore.

New England is getting down to the nitty gritty now. They have already clinched a playoff spot and have no need to risk injuring one of thier stars going for the win/loss...

My thoughts on MMA currently

Posted 12-02-2007 at 06:45 PM by jdun11
Wow, MMA is in a really messed up state right now. With noone knowing whats going on with the LW, WW, or HW belts. Things are pretty messed up. But all that doesnt really matter to me. Becuase there are a bunch of fights coming up that I want to see.

First fight is obviously Wanderlei Silva vs Chuck Liddell. This is one we have been dreaming about for years. A little luster might be lacking but this is still a HUGE fight for MMA. Ive gone back and forth thinking who would win this...
