Although I will not be adding to this blog very often, or at least I don't think I will, I have what I consider to be some interesting ideas that I would like to jot down. If you hate them or love them let me know.

Cutting weight is a rule that I would like to see tweeked to provide improved safety to fighters and I believe there are many different ways to do it. I am no doctor nor do I believe I have the best ideas on the change but I'm sure drying your body out to the extent that...

I am not a fan of the Carnival atmosphere that surrounds Boxing and the WWE. I feel that the fights are reason I am watching and myself, I don't need a lot of noise and exaggeration to be excited about, and to watch a fight.
What I am specifically talking about are noisy introductions before the fights. I am pleased that the UFC no longer uses the hyped up, noise filled walk to the ring, the song is plenty, but Mike Goldberg yelling is excessive.

Where as my understanding of the definition of the term Martial Art is, a form of physical activity designed to...

The psyche is key to winning any kind of encounter in life. This becomes particularly true in a contest of fists, feet, and mind, “kinetic chess,” as it has been described. The natural human emotion in the face of pain is fear. Its been key to human survival and evolution for thousands of years. They very nature of a Mixed Martial Arts bout, or any other bout for that matter, is in countance to what is burned into our DNA. The body reacts in subtle ways that innumerate these areas. Before a fighter...

Personal Analysis and Methodology
In Mixed Martial Arts there is a growing trend, one that has been on the rise for twenty plus years, and in the case of Bruce Lee, forty plus years(though Bruce Lee’s influence on MMA is greatly debateable, his influence on those of his day is irrefuteable). This trend that has grown to unprecidented levels is that the blending of Martial Arts is not only a good idea, its necessary for the further development of Martial Arts in general. MMA is the embodiment...
