FYI, for those looking to unlock their phone... if you bought one online, you prolly are outta luck right now.
seems like the you can make it work like an iTouch... but no phone unlock hack.

if you buy it in the store you might have better luck finding an older model with a bootloader version 3.9 or lower
(firmware 1.1.1 and lower too)

as it stands, people are waiting for the 1.1.3 firmware release which might help shed some light on how to exploit the 4.06 bootloader that ships with the new iPhones

I just got my iphone !! finally.. it was stuck at customs for over 2 weeks... anyways i bought it on ebay for 550 (pretty good deal since i live in canada and cant get em here).. works great.. my sim card works.. most amazing phone ive ever seen.. you can do anything with this phone..

it has this installer thing.. you can basically install anything on it.. it has all the download options within the phone and you can just download and install games,applications, whatever.. ive been messing around with it all day and i still havent figured out all the featuers... so many of them...

like the previous guy said.. make sure if you buy one it is firmware 1.1.1 and unlocked.. or it wont work .. there are still plenty on ebay taht will work anywhere.

Anywho, VzW is CDMA, and the iPhone is GSM. Unless you reconfigure the technology that the phone uses to view Cell Towers by literally replacing the innards of the phone, you're not going to get onto VzW or Sprint or any other CDMA network.
