How does this work? I use to have a cell phone but had to sign a contract and do all this other crap and personally it isn't worth it because my phone conversations last less than 10-15 minutes.
Example:
Me: "What's going down tonight?"
Friend: "Blah blah blah"
Me: "I'll be there. Is it BYOB?"
Friend: "Blah blah blah"
Me: "See you there. Later"
Well can I just buy a phone then pay for minutes as I need them with no contracts or deposits of some sort. I want a nice looking phone but want minutes that I can use whenever. If I buy 10,000 minutes but it takes me 2 years to use them all, the phone won't get cut off or other charges be added.
i have virgin mobile, and have a really nice phone( a kyocera slider) that has mp3 capabilites and a camera, andi got a really good deal on it for 50 bucks, and use it very rarely except for like a phone book and watch and all that kinda stuff, but back to the minutes, for this plan u buy cards,(or u can do it online or thru the phone, and can either go with striahgt up 18 cents a minute, or use plans that they ave set up, but its all prepaid, the only thing is u hafta add at least 20$ ever 3 mos to continue service, it works perfect for me and i only spend like an average of 20$ a month, see the website for more, i think its just virginmobile.com , if u decide to join let me know, and ill get free minutes for refering
wow..i seriously wonder why they charge so much for the phones..probably don't need contract for it or something..as for me i'm getting a free razr this december !
Cricket sucks a$$ IMO. They have no annual contract and the service area still sucks even after signing a roaming agreement with Cingular which will soon be AT&T. Ya know they, AT&T, are spending 6.2 billion dollars for advertisement purposes so people will recognize the new brand name. If you don't travel anywhere outside of your hometown then Cricket might be the way to go, but if you want a nice nationwide plan then you should check into a major service carrier and not into a joke like Cricket.
I don't want to bust your bubble but the Motorola Razr is a crappy phone. The reception is less than stellar and the overall durability of the phone leaves something to be desired.
Ive heard to stay away from chocolates because they suck...does anyone have one, are they any good?
The chocolate phone is a nice looking phone indeed and if you desire nothing more than a basic phone w/MP3 player, and don't plan on using it that often, then it's ok to go with it. The phone has very few features other than what's listed. The display resolution is crappy and the controls are overly sensitive making it a pain in the butt at times. Verizon has a wonderful advertising and marketing team and the commercials make the phone very...how can i say.....HOT.
I have an AT&T Go-Phone, and trust me it's not worth it. They have 15, 25, 50 and 100 dollar cards. So pretty much your minutes are either 60, 100, 200 or 400. I am getting rid of mine and getting an actual plan on Thursday.
