And that's important. There's nothing wrong with a "I don't have time to mess with linux/open source" philosophy. It can be a pain sometimes.

at this particular time my money is worth much more than my time if that makes sense.

I've already eliminated my home phone and and cable tv and replaced them with skype and hulu.

My cheap ass android phone will do everything I need....eventually....

What I was trying to say is, that your IPhone 4 isn't more worth than Maybe 50 Euros (120Dollars I think).. 90% of the price you pay is the name Apple.

That situation that required a smart phone fell through but another has come up.

best buy has this phone on sale for $65 with plans for unlimited web starting at $35/month no contract

what do you guys think?

I did it.

i was the last of my peers at work to get a computer and stop doing my paper work on paper.

i was the last person I knew on dial up internet

And today I am the last one I know to get a smart phone.

I'm loving android and I already found a skype app which means I should be able to use my unlimited internet to make skype calls and never touch my 300 minutes of talk. For $35/month. Am I cheap or what?

I was already paying that much for a crappy old phone with net 10.

I'm sure the i-phone is better and there are better android and windows phones but I don't know what the heck I would do with a better one.

$65 well spent.

Ok i have Skype on my phone but, it's very buggy. call quality is all over the place and because of the way they want the numbers entered and the way the droid keyboard works, I can only call contacts that i have plugged into skype from my computer. Much trouble but, still free mobile calls.

I'm thinking of switching to google voice. Anyone have opinions on it?
