I assume your talking about windoz compatible stuff which is a shame because there is so much cool free stuff for linux but here’s a short list of cool free stuff for windows
VLC media player (also great youtube downloader) Gimp for graphics Libre office (smaller, faster, better than open office) dropbox for backup and sharing Opera for web surfing Picasa for photo managing and online storage Skype is awesome AVIRA free antivirus |
I was thinking more in the line of keeping the computer health, performance and such.
I should try out dropbox and a new antivirus system however. Still running with the program it came with. |

GPUwatcher (watches your GPU temp as well as other parts) Norton |

LONG LIVES LINUX :D |
I really only use core temp right now and Norton for antivirus.

Well dude the best pieces of software have to be RocketDock, which is like a MAC dock thing. And RainMeter, which shows lots of useful info about your computers usage.

tweaks help, too
Essential software: http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner http://technet.microsoft.com/en-ca/s.../bb963902.aspx http://technet.microsoft.com/en-ca/s.../bb896653.aspx And an awesome little registry tweak that I find invaluable - NFI why this isn't there by default: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windo...ht-click-menu/ And, FYI, the best music player/toolbox out there is Foobar2000. In case anyone's wondering. |
Nice, imma check them all out.
