DREAM DREAM is a new mixed martial arts organization promoted by: Fighting and Entertainment Group (owners of K-1), and co-produced with the former PRIDE executives from Dream Stage Entertainment. DREAM succeeds and will replace FEG's previous-run mixed martial arts fight series, HERO'S. The series has many of the elaborate production values of PRIDE FC.

Yeah I call it the "Liddel-Silva" Theory.
They don't want to risk putting them in different brackets in hopes of them fighting later, like what DSE did with Liddel and Silva at the 03 MW GP.

The differences in brackets for Silva and Liddell was very biased.
Liddell had to face a technically better kickboxer in Overeem (who didn't blow so much back then) and the winner of Rampage/Arona (which turned out to be Bustamante). Then Rampage gets the nod in a decision over a guy Chuck allready beat.
Now, Silva is against a guy he allready murked twice and is severly broken down coming off a loss. Then faces the winner of Judoka/Pro Wrestler.

Honestly though Terry it's not like Liddell's bracket was impossible. Wanderlei's wasn't exactly difficult but Liddell didn't face impossible odds or anything.

I don't care to be honest, this way the fight is guaranteed.

This is exactly why.
Its gonna be awesome, JZ Vs Aoki and Penn Vs Sherk in the matter of a couple months....I wish the winner's of each bout could fight eachother.

The reason it is in the first round is becuase a fight with two fresh/rested fighters makes for a great fight. If they fought in the finals it would have the possiblity of being a bunch of stalling and lying around.

Another good point taken
I was just trying to justify it, I knew I was missing something, all these points make a lot more sense now.
Thanks guys.

Any combination of those four equals an awesome fight. Especially JZ/Penn.
