DREAM NEW! DREAM is a new mixed martial arts organization promoted by: Fighting and Entertainment Group (owners of K-1), and co-produced with the former PRIDE executives from Dream Stage Entertainment. DREAM succeeds and will replace FEG's previous-run mixed martial arts fight series, HERO'S. The series has many of the elaborate production values of PRIDE FC.

Tamura vs. Funaki? Awesomeness.
Tamura will win and go on to fight Saku, and it shall be awesome. Then Saku will batter him and it shall awesome. Then Saku will go on to get killed by Kang or Akiyama, and I shall cry.

OK, now I'm confused....Saku just announced the other day at the opening of his school that he wanted no part of the MW GP for a few different reasons....
Either he changed his mind in a day or DREAM just isn't getting it....
Anyways, I hope he does decide to do it...

They gave him a Kyokushin fighter with no mma fights, so its a pretty good deal.

What's the average age of this mofo, like 35? It's like the Seniors ball.
And I also heard Saku wanted out because of a cut on his leg?
Nonetheless, it should be fun as usualy, and Kang/Gegard should be fun.

Tamura should beat Funaki down, but it'll be fun while it lasts. Both guys have seen better days, but Tamura's not as broken down as Funaki and has better striking.

The press conference for this announcement was held at Sakuraba's gym in Japan, with Sakuraba in attendence(as seen on the home page of the www.dreamofficial.com website). So it looks like he changed his mind. He's a warrior, so it doesn't surprise me. Plus they gave him an easy first round opponent, which probably had a lot to do with it. Nakahara is a Karate guy, making his MMA debut.

Gotcha! Thanks! Looks like there is no reason to worry about Saku until the second round, then!
