DREAM NEW! DREAM is a new mixed martial arts organization promoted by: Fighting and Entertainment Group (owners of K-1), and co-produced with the former PRIDE executives from Dream Stage Entertainment. DREAM succeeds and will replace FEG's previous-run mixed martial arts fight series, HERO'S. The series has many of the elaborate production values of PRIDE FC.

Nice to see that Mirko Filipovic will be fighting again so soon, I just hope that it'll be against a respectable opponent. Now that he has come off his two-fight losing streak, there's no excuse. Also, coming off a win over Alistair Overeem I hope they put Kharitonov with a good opponent as well.
But most importantly, there's probably a slight chance that we could see Jacare vs. Kang, provided both win at D.2 and are matched up on the same side of the bracket - and that would be awesome
I thought I'd post some DREAM news since the DREAM forum is kinda empty at the moment
Discuss.

I have been hearing that Kharitonov is a great fighter, but I have only seen a couple fights of him. Is he that good? I hope that Mirko can get back to koing fools with his HK.

He is a very solid fighter, and would give CroCop a very tough fight if they do get matched up together.
A year or two ago I would have taken Crocop in a second, but I'm little tentative now a days with him. This would be a huge fight for Mirko, and a win would prove he's still got it. Because Sergei is top tier fighter. He's got notable wins over the likes of Werdum (although I still think Werdum won that fight), Schilt, Rizzo, and Overeem, and took Big Nog to a decision.

Yes, it really really would. I'd be taking Kang FTW. And I've got a really good feeling about Dream too, it is definitely shaping up to be the new Pride. Get Mauro and Bas back for the English commentary! (Pretty please)

Interesting, I really like Jacare as well. But from what I've seen in his MMA fights he will not be able to hang with Kang if they got toe to toe. Plus Kang has great TDD defense, and even if Jacare does get it to the ground, he won't be able to do what he has done in most of his other fights versus cans. (Mounting and destroying them).
Jacare's only chance would be catching Kang in a sub and like I've already mentioned I think Kang will be able to keep it on the feet, and if he get's taken down avoid the submission attempts and eventually stand back up.
I'd be banking on experience, striking, TDD, and solid ground game for the Kang win. But Jacare is so crafty on the ground, who knows maybe he'll catch him in a sub. I'm doubting it though. Kang via 2nd round TKO.
What are your thoughts on that match up?
*Quick fact: Only 2 opponents of Jacare's 7 wins in MMA have had a winning record. The rest of his opponents were making their debut against him (so are now 0-1), except for one other fighter who is 3-3.
