Denis Kang
Poor Denis. Whether it's injuries or defeats, he just can't seem to get his momentum back.
After going undefeated in 23 (!!!) straight fights, he's lost three of his last four. His only win isince late 2006 is over Jung Gyu Choi, hardly a top-level competitor.
Kang has all the talent in the world, and his recent defeats have come against quality opponents, but this past year and a half has to be a huge disappointment for a guy who was tabbed as the next great middleweight superstar when he was tearing up guys like Ninja Weir and Suloev.
I know Dana White was very interested in Denis following Zuffa's purchase of Pride, but I'm guessing his losses to Akiyama and Mousasi have caused the UFC president's head to turn away.
Denis is still pretty young, not 31 until September, he has a great camp in ATT and he's an exciting fighter. Do you guys think he can get it together and be a superstar after all, or is he destined to become another of MMA's what-if men?

Very solid fighter, but yeah, I don't know what the hell is going on right now. He pretty much let Mousasi triangle him and Mousasi isn't even that great on the ground. Kang's a very solid ground fighter. Bad performance.

Getting KTFO by Akiyama is one thing. Anyone can get KTFO but the triangle loss to Mousasi really hurt. I saw that coming from a mile away. I can't believe he just walked right into the triangle like that.
He's got talent and time. I guess now is when we see what Dennis is made of. Does he bounce back strong or go th Vitor route? I hope he bounces back strong.

I just don't get it though, I've been so disappointed with him as of late. The Misaki fight was understandable since he fought him injured, but against Akiyama and Mousasi (who are quality opponents) he came out hot and looked great, winning the fights, and then he just blew it. More so even Mousasi, gosh that was such a rookie mistake, even I know not to throw one arm in like that, he basically gift wrapped that triangle.
Really disappointed with him, especially last night. But like I said, someone just needs to give a swift kick in the head in training, he'll be back.

That was such an amateur mistake by Kang, don't know what happened there. Anyone else annoyed how many times Kang got punched in the back of the head though? Like what's up with that?

Kang was on a horrible losing streak before his famous win streak. He knows what it's like to be down and he knows what it takes to get back into his winning ways.

He's said he doesn't plan on fighting very long because he has big aspirations of being a Model or Actor in Korea. So I guess he's only got a handful of fights left.
