DREAM DREAM is a new mixed martial arts organization promoted by: Fighting and Entertainment Group (owners of K-1), and co-produced with the former PRIDE executives from Dream Stage Entertainment. DREAM succeeds and will replace FEG's previous-run mixed martial arts fight series, HERO'S. The series has many of the elaborate production values of PRIDE FC.

Well it's not like Overeem sucks standing. He's an excellent standup fighter. It's no secret that Mark Hunt is one dimensional and would probably outstrike most heavyweights. He'd also get outgrappled by nearly all heavyweights. It's not a bad thing that Overeem had to beat him on the ground.
Overeem is a completely different fighter at heavyweight. He's been very impressive thus far. I just fear that any great ground fighter that can get him to the ground, may beat him fairly easily. Hopefully he proves me wrong.

Overeem has been looking like a monster lately. His standup is looking great, and his wrestling/sub game is good as well. If he keeps this up, he'll be a force to be reckoned with.

I think people don't really know how good Overeem's ground game is. He's not astonishing, but I think it's pretty underrated. He won the 2005 European Trials for ADCC, and tapped all 4 of his opponents to gain a spot in the tournament. Sadly he was not able to participate in the tournament due to commitments to PRIDE.
Not to mention he has more wins by submissions than anything else. When he fought lil nog he defended a lot of sub attempts.

Yeah I dont think it makes Hunt look terrible that he lost because Overeem has been looking really good lately. It was just a poor decision I think to take it to the ground since Hunt is a stand-up fighter.

You guys underestimated Overeem's ground games. He's not bad at all. I would say besides top submission guys he has one of the best ground games at HW. I would put him ahead of Arlovski on the ground no doubt in my mind.

Oh yeah, I recognize he has a solid ground game. Although if you look at his major losses, they are from the hands of excellent ground fighters.
Shogun, Werdum, Lil Nog.. If he can manage to keep fights against top tier ground fighters on the feet, then he should definitely be a force to be reckoned with because his standup is excellent. There aren't many if at all, great grapplers that can outstrike Overeem if they are unable to bring the fight to the ground.

Exactly he's a borederline top 10 HW. And he could give a lot of guys hell.
He's IMO a lot like Chris lytle where the reason he isn't a top fighter is his lack of wrestling.
