This is true. That's a great fight, and it's my 05 FOTY.
About Shogun vs Rampage, Rampage didn't do anything in that fight, and Shogun just bullrushed the guy. What a nasty beatdown.

To the OP, just remember that was not the same Rampage that fought Chuck the first time.
Chuck vs. Hendo and Chuck vs. Shogun I can't wait to see either one of these. Shogun would get KOed and I would bet all my points on it. Hendo on the other hand is an absolute monster and could very well pull it off.

sorry to say man, but that IS the same Rampage that beat Chuck. I dont wanna hear the rib story(Shogun broke Rampage's rib anyway). That is like saying GSP only beat Sherk cuz Sherk had a broken nose. Duh, GSP broke his nose. Same thing with Page, Shogun broke his rib and made him his b!tch. I dont know how anyone can use that excuse in this fight. You might try to throw the Wanderlei broke Rampage and he wasnt the same after that fight. Bullsh!t, Shogun>Rampage. Its that simple

The bolded part is what I meant. That and the Jesus factor. I know what you're saying about the broken ribs and that's not what I meant. I meant he was timid when he fought him after being destroyed by his training partner twice. He was scared. Sometimes you just gotta be honest and not bias when you look at people's wins. Shogun didn't beat the same Rampage Chuck fought. Simple as that
I like how people are allowed to make excuses for Shogun breaking his arm and losing to Coleman but heaven forbid anyone make excuses for Rampage for getting his ribs broke right away and still fighting. I could easily argue the same thing everyone argues about Shogun/Coleman:
"Oh it was a fluke! Rampage would beat Shogun 9 times out of 10!"
But I'm not that kind of guy. It would be nice to see Shogun vs Rampage 2 though when they are both 100%.

I understand the point but they are very diffrent. Shogun fell the wrong way. Rampage took a knee that broke a rib. It's not as if Coleman Slammed him and Shogun broke his arm it was just that shogun out his arm out and fell on it. But i do understand your point and it makes sense but IMO it's very diffrent

Yea I agree it was different but he shouldn't have let Coleman take him down and he should have not put his arm down, that's the worst thing you can do during a slam or takedown. You just gotta take the slam and not try and stop it or else you break your arm and lose the fight. He's not the only guy to ever break his arm trying to break a fall. They tell you not to do that, and he did it anyway. Oh well. I agree though it is different but not that different. Coleman was winning that fight anyway. He mighta got caught in a sub eventually but no one knows. He also mighta beaten him fair and square.

YouTube - Mark Coleman vs Mauricio Rua
Please rewatch the fight then rethink your statement. He broke his arm within the 1st two minutes of the fight, how can you try and say Coleman was winning the fight already? He had one mediocre takedown, one decent slam. Shogun had 2 submission attempts and threw a couple kicks. As you can see from the video, Shogun was getting up off the ground and Coleman grabbed his FEET and he tripped and fell, hardly a "slam".

I watched the fight many many times man. It is not a false statement to say Coleman was winning the fight...cuz he was. May not have been a domination, but I never said it was. And I actually said "he should have never let him take him down". Oh and look at that I also said "He's not the only guy to ever break his arm trying to break a fall" never said he got slammed.
You made me rethink my post and it was pointless. I'm still right. If he didn't wanna break his arm he should have fallen properly or he should have avoided the takedown. It was his own choice to turn around and run away.
People need to stop being so bias all the time. Look, I haven't been a Coleman fan in years, I just don't like the guy anymore. But the way Shogun fans treat this fight is ridiculous. If it was the other way around and Mark broke his arm, you all would be calling Shogun a machine for breaking Coleman's arm. It's childish.
