He had one mediocre takedown, one decent slam. Shogun had 2 submission attempts and threw a couple kicks. As you can see from the video, Shogun was getting up off the ground and Coleman grabbed his FEET and he tripped and fell, hardly a "slam".

may not be a slam, but it was a takedown, an ankle pick to be precise. is was about even at that point. but if shogun hadn't broken his arm who knows what would have happned, Coleman would have had his back and then...*blank* would have happened. Shogun broke his arm in the fight, Rapmpage broke ribs in his fight, both injuries incurred in the fight so we really don't know what would have happened if both were 100% throughout the fight. am i taking away shoguns win? nope, but can't really take away Colemans either.

Preach on brotha....I agree fully. No one's wins should be taken away from them, but that also doesn't mean we cant discuss FACTORS that affect a fight's outcome maturely like adults without being so bias and flipping out everytime something slightly negative gets said about your favorite fighter. I don't even take away Hughes win over BJ...but we can certainly acknowledge what happened during that fight. A wins a win, if you get hurt in a fight that's your tough shit, that's the point of fighting.

Does it matter really? Anyone can have someones number at a certain, they could rematch and rampage could beat rua. It's all a matter of who's night it is, and who wants it more. No reason to argue about it.

Rampage could catch Shogun, but it doesn't disguise the fact that Shogun whomped him. Rampage got his ass beat in that fight, badly.

You made me rethink my post and it was pointless. I'm still right. If he didn't wanna break his arm he should have fallen properly or he should have avoided the takedown. It was his own choice to turn around and run away.
People need to stop being so bias all the time. Look, I haven't been a Coleman fan in years, I just don't like the guy anymore. But the way Shogun fans treat this fight is ridiculous. If it was the other way around and Mark broke his arm, you all would be calling Shogun a machine for breaking Coleman's arm. It's childish.

Thats ridiculous. I think you're just trying to play the devils advocate because its the internet. I saw this fight happen before I knew ANYTHING about Shogun but I did know shit about Coleman and my opinion was the same as it was now. This fight was actually the first time I saw Shogun, and I just don't see how someone could think Coleman was the reason Shogun broke his arm, but whatever.

The arm break was a freak accident.
I was, however, shocked at Coleman's sub defense in those 40 something seconds. Seriously, who the hell from Hammer House shows sub defense? Well, besides Wes Sims.

Seriously, you see that one fight with Randlemann vs someone(I think Shogun) where he's in an ankle lock and he has no idea how to get out of it and he just screams over and over and doesn't tap, pretty funny.

Coleman took him down, he tried to catch himself (which is something your NOT supposed to do), and he broke his arm for it. I would say that Coleman was the reason Shogun broke his arm yep. What other reason is there? Did aliens come down and break it? No, he used poor technique for breaking a fall and paid for it. If he was such an amazing fighter he wouldn't have been running away from Coleman in the first place.
It's just like the BJ/Hughes 2 fight. Yea it was a freak accident but it was BJ's own fault for letting Hughes get on top of him. If he was truly the better fighter that night he would have never been in the predicament to begin with. He had other options other than trying to slide out from underneath him. He made the choice and paid for it. Freak accident? Yes. Legit loss? Yes.

Yea that was Shogun's redemption fight for the Coleman thing. He had that thing in DEEEEP though. Randleman was trying to get out but he also didn't wanna tap. He didn't even get a chance to really fight yet haha. Plus he's had injuries with his legs his whole career.

Do you count Belfort vs Couture 2 as a legit win for Vitor?
