Who is Hiromitsu Kanehara?

I just ran across this guy's profile on Sherdog.

Hiromitsu Kanehara (11-15-1)
Vitals: 5'10" 200 lbs

Here's what bothers me. This guy fought at PRIDE Bushido 3, 23, 28 and 29, and he fought really good fighters all four times. Crocop, Wandy, Alistair Overeem and Shogun. He also lost all four times. He's lost to Dan Henderson and Babalu, but he beat Jeremy Horn.

Until August Hiromitsu hadn't won a fight in 4 years, but he won in the first round.

Can anyone make anything of this guy. When I saw him fight he looked like crap, but he must not be that bad if he made it to the show.

When making a case for world's toughest fighter, don't forget to include Hiromitsu Kanehara. This mixed martial arts veteran has fought for promotions throughout Japan including RINGS, Colosseum 2000, and Free Fight. Though his record is not impressive, Kanehara's list of opponents reads like a who's who of mixed martial arts champions and legends, including: Matt Hughes, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, Mario Sperry, Ricardo Arona, and Dan Henderson. Among his list of victories: Dave Menne, Tom Sauer, Valentijn Overeem, and Jeremy Horn. Though Kanehara is competent on his feet, his strengths are primarily his submission and wrestling abilities. In addition, this Japanese "Rocky" is a banger and is not afraid to go toe to toe as he can absorb an amazing amount of punishment.
Hope That Helps For people That Want To Know More About Him
