Antonio Silva.....Elite XC HW champ

...Ummmmmmm...I think that was a cheeseball way to let Silva win the belt. Former UFC HW champ Ricco Rodriquez gave Silva a close call. Ricco should have been given the chance at the belt over Eilers. We all pretty much knew Eilers was just meat for Silva to get the belt. Like Brett Rodgers...he got cheated too. Rodgers KTFO of James Thompson and he should have gotten the Kimbo fight on CBS...It would have been even better...Brett is a beast! Seeing Rodgers & Kimbo go toe to toe would have been awesome...and it still may happen. Anyway as for Silva...he's a great fighter, but he now has Kimbo & Rodgers to deal with. I think Kimbo & Brett need to fight, and whoever wins should get a title shot at Silva.

Silva won via TKO

Silva just defeated Former UFC champ Rodriguez, so that fight would make no sense.

Bit of a beast that "Bigfoot" Silva.

I agree with you here.

I don't think Kimbo will phase Bigfoot. Rogers is tough and has great power and he's good in the clinch so that will be a good one. Bigfoot takes that in my opinion anyway.

EliteXC has other HW fighters I can name that have better potential and records outside of Kimbo Slice. They deserve the shot more in my opinion.

Silva would devour both Brett Rodgers and Kimbo Slice.

I could care less about the Elite XC heavyweight champ, because none of their heavyweights, including Silva, deserve to be called champions. Why did they feel the need to have a heavyweight champion before a lightweight champion? The have some real talent there.

K.J. Noons is the LW Champion. And he held the LW title before either the WW or HW champ.

And you're right. The LW division has some good fighters.

Oh I forgot they have the screwy weight classes. Why is their LW belt at 160 anyway? Noons should have to fight one of the top lightweights in the company like Josh Thompson, Eddie Alvarez, or Gilbert Melendez.

I don't know why the title is as 160. I've seen that myself.

Noons did fight Yves and Nick Diaz. Those guys are solid contenders.

He will be fighting Eddie Alvarez in the future. Alvarez said he wants a shot at the belt. If this happens Noons is toast in my opinion.

You're right, and just to make you happy Sherdog.com just listed Alvarez at #2 in the LW rankings. I've heard that Nick Diaz can't make 155, so they set the weight at 160. Any truth to that? Also what is the deal with Strikeforce guys like Thompson and Melendez. Can they fight in Elite XC, or is that just for Shamrock?
