Man, thought last week was the last episode of part I of season 5. Thought it couldn't get any better.

Believe it'll be next summer until season 5 part II begins.

In 20 years this will be remembered as one of the greatest television shows of all time. I never thought anything could ever top The Sopranos but if they keep this up for the home stretch they have done it.

While Breaking Bad is a very well crafted show certainly up there in terms of writing, the ensemble cast of The Sopranos was endearing. They were one of the originals to have movie style screen writing and production made for TV back in 1999. What I mean is when a major character was offed you felt it reverberating through your bones. Remember Funhouse and Long Term Parking. Those were some powerful episodes.
When you get a chance rewatch The Sopranos and you'll see it's still as fresh as ever. You might even catch a few things you missed on the first viewing as I did.
What I think stands out about Breaking Bad is the originality. From the opening sequences to the 16 second intro which I don't think I've ever seen before in all of TV history. Usually there's a song and theme. Such a unique combination; Aaron Paul, Bryan Cranston, Giancarlo Esposito from the previous seasons, Jonathan Banks, Bob Odenkirk, Anna Gunn, and Dean Norris. It's a hodge podge of characters yet they all work well together. I think Bob (Saul Goodman) deserves an Emmy cuz he's the only one who brings any sort of comic relief...haha.
What I find is that when characters get written out in BB I don't find myself emotionally invested in them other than the little kid on the motorcycle. Maybe the writers don't want you to feel that way so you can somehow relate to Walter in a twisted way.
All in all this show belongs in the upper echelons of TV programs. Til next season. Now it's time for Boardwalk Empire followed by The Walking Dead!

I've watched every Sopranos season five times I believe, save for season 6 which I've watched three times. I view it as a stunning masterpiece and a work of art that walks all over any other popular TV drama that people claim is so briliant. It's been my favorite show for years ever since my dad introduced me to it, most of my essays and articles from high school and up, I've written about the Sopranos when I had the chance, and I have this as a massive poster over my bed.
So yeah, you're probably right, when all is said and done Sopranos will be the greatest show ever made. But Breaking Bad is right there in second for me. Above The Wire, Band of Brothers, Deadwood, South Park, Boardwalk Empire... you name it. I really, really love the show.
Funhouse I know what happened, but who was the major character killed in Long Term Parking?
Edit: Probably the most heartbreaking scene in Sopranos for me was Adriana admitting to Christopher she was working with the feds. Michael Imperioli was sooo ******* good as Chris Moltisanti.

That's some dedication.
The answer to your question...
Band Of Brothers was phenemonal. Kinda sad I sold my DVD box collection. Been trying to get the book written by Winters.
I really wish David Chase would have segued the show into a feature film. You know what poster I've always wanted to get. Season 5. That's one worthy to be placed in a museum.
What a work of art!

Breaking bad is one of the best shows on TV hands down. Always keeps you guessing, unpredictable, full of suspense, it always makes you wanting more. This season has been great, it just sucks we have to wait another 10 months for the next episodes.
