I just got back from seeing TDKR. My advice? Don't waste your time.

I thought the film was good but very predictable. Batman I and II were definitely better in my opinion, but still TDKR was a good one. I thought Tom Hardy did a fantastic job.

Saw it this morning and thought it was fantastic. I can see why it'll get critisism from many though. The pace was too quick and it.made the film seem clutered. They tried to fit about 4 hours worth of story into 2 1/2 hours.
Many will bash it but thought the ending was very good and the performances of Joshua Gordon Levitt and Tom Hardy were outstanding as was Anne Hathaway who.I really didn't think I'd like.
I still think Batman Begins is the best film.of the 3 from start to finish even though both TDK and TDKR had higher points.

I actually thought Joseph Gordon Levitt was probably the worst thing about the movie. His character, acting, and storyline were all pointless. Don't even get me started on his little reveal at the end.

"'You think darkness is your ally, but you merely adopted the dark. I was born in it, molded by it. I didn't see the light until I was already a man, by then it was nothing to me but bright! The shadows betray you... because they belong to ME!'
I'm shocked at how well Nolan conveyed Bane as a character and a villain. I wasn't impressed with TDK, so wasn't really hyped up about TDKR, but it delivered in every way.
The story was very well crafted and the character development was so much better than in TDK.
For me personally:
The Dark Knight Rises>>>>>>>>>Batman Begins>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>The Dark Knight

Didn't like Lewitt going into the cave at the end but other than that, i loved the movie. Begins is still my clear number 1 though.

I saw some striking similarities to the award winning cartoon series I use to watch as a kid. I wish they would have introduced the real Mr. Freeze. Such a conflicted character of good and evil.
Bane was a good villain as it touches down on modern day issues mainly terrorism. Nothing the public doesn't already know from previewing the trailers.
There was a plethora of noise and confusion aimed to create shock value for the viewer and I suppose really to create a grandiose finale. Whether it did you be the judge.
I'm saddened it's the end of the series for Nolan, Bale, Cain, and Freeman. That is one dynamic team.
Wonder who's gonna pick up on this 10 years from now. Burton created magic with the first with Nicholson, Schumacher turned it into a farce, and Nolan restored the franchise.
The original 1989 Batman and Batman Begins are one and two in my books followed by The Dark Knight.
