I think Al Capone is such an interesting character in the show because you keep waiting for him to come into his own.
Yah actually for everyone.
Bennie Siegel who finally got to showcase his "bugsy" side.
Charles who will earn his moniker down the road.
Meyer Lansky who's already portrayed early on as the brains of the operations.
Masseria
Maranzano - not sure if he's entered the foray of things yet
Al Capone - actually that just reminded me. He actually beat up someone in a speakeasy in NY and that's why he had to move to Chicago.
Obanion which is his rival.
One of the great fictional characters is Harrow.
I'm sure they'll introduce tons of other rising gangsters.

Richard Harrow is going to kill em' all. Gyp and the rest of them. Nucky is without a killer now, and Harrow would be a fantastic ally.
I hope Harrow does the "hmmm" grunt thing when he greets Gyp just before he puts a bullet through his head.
What an episode. Starts off eerily with the phone disconnected...then
Gyp's men take out all of Nucky's security force. Did ya notice how Owney's body/crate never made it to the warehouse. Couldn't even get a proper buriel. Aside from sleeping with the boss's wife he still was a competent enforcer. Wonder if the police officer sold em out...guess Masseria's men already expected it since Charles gave em the heads up.
Good ol' Chalky White to the rescue. Anyone notice how Nucky (Tony Blundetto) knocked on the door and walked to the left side of the house where Tony Soprano came from. Only this time Purnell is behind em with a shotgun. Definitely an homage to Sopranos.
Good to see Capone backing Nucky, but this wasn't true in real life. I believe Capone did business with Joe Masseria. I don't think Gyp is even a real character. Which makes this show very interesting. Some are real, some are composites, and others are completely fictional. The real war is the Castellammarese War between Joe Masseria and Salvatore Maranzano. That didn't happen til 1929 though.
Harrow is not to be trifled with. Can not believe Jimmy's mom tried to put a hit on em. What the hell.
Professional army sniper is > local gangster.

The finale should be epic. Can't wait for next week.
It's gonna be fireworks. Too bad the new season won't come around til September 2013!!!
Line of the night didn't even come til the end of the episode.
"I need a bath. Some chow. And then you and me sit down and we talk about who dies."
ha ha yes, the way Stephen Grayam delivered that line was absolutely brilliant. He's one of my favourite actors and now I really can't wait to see him play Al Capone as a major role.
If you haven't seen "This Is England", make sure you check it out (the film, not the tv series!). It has Stephen Graeme - the guy who plays Al Capone in it and he plays such a great role. Fantastic film too.
Oh yah! You know what was a cool scene was when he was playing that ukelele to his son even though he was deaf. Before that he shit kicked an Obanion associate for messing with his own.
Read a book awhile back about Al Capone. What most people don't realize was that he had two brothers (Ralph and Sal) who helped him ascend the throne with the blessing of John Torrio of course to create the Outfit. Ironically his older bro was a prohibition agent. One cool character was Machine Gun Jack Mcgurn who was his bodyguard. The Outfit were too violent so the commission never quite accepted them although they were invited to the commission meetings. Big decisions were centered around Lucky, Meyer/Bugsy, Frank Costello, and then to the other future five families. The Outfit pretty much functions as their own entity. Wonder if they'll introduce Tony Acardo aka Big Tuna aka Tony Bats who worked as Al's bodyguard early on in his career then became the boss. He was the only leader in that organization who was able to pass away on his own terms.
That time period has so many rich characters. There's no doubt I would have opened a speakeasy if I were transported in time and quite possibily become the "beer barron," kabooom!!!
SEASON 3 FINALE: IT'S GOING DOWN...
