Lonesome dove for western (i realize that it was a mini series, but it is best watched in one long ass sitting), Phantasm for horror (like lonesome dove, it is best to watch all of them right in a row), grandmas boy for comedy, the notebook for movie that is likely to end with me getting laid (yes, that is a genre), Rising Sun: the legend of christian hosoi for documentary, and the cowboys for John wayne movie (yes, also it s own genre).
How about some favorite standup comedy?
The classics will always be Eddie Murphy and Richard Pryor. Raw might be the best of all time.
More current Louis CK is awesome but I think it's been awhile since his last standup special. Patrice O'Neal was very special comic and it's a shame he passed so damn early.
Bill Burr is hilarious. Jim Jefferies is good as well.

Oh my days yes! These two are the standard bearers when it comes to stand-up.
Hilarious!! When he talks about the dog next door, or shooting his own car, or when some balck dudes stole white guys seat atfer intermission.
Most people have Richard 1 and Eddie 2. But I personally lean toward Eddie as #1. Just classic. I love when does the conversation between him and Bill Cosby and he also does his Pryor impersonation. Classic. Eddie is the King IMO.

Most of my favorite sports movies are American Football movies. Love Friday Night Lights, Remember The Titans and Rudy. There were some classic baseball movies when I was a kid like Rookie of The Year, The Sandlot, Little Big League and Angels in the Outfield. The original Major League is awesome but obviously not a kid movie lol

Not seen any of them. Surprisingily. The only American Football movie I've seen is Any Given Sunday. Don't remember much about it, except from Cameron Diaz walking around the lockerroom with dudes everywhere. Oh and the scene where some dudes are having a coke orgy.
