I actually like the Governor and his group more than the main cast. Good to see the next episode is about them as well.

Will make predictions for credits. Please, I'm so broke.

I like him in this ep, but he was a goddamn psycho last season. He killed hundreds of innocent people, remember the national guard guys he slaughtered... just cause?

How about we not forget all that just because he's got PTSD and is still reeling following the loss of his evil empire and zombie child. He has a very long road to walk to redeem himself IMO.

BTW I love your sig. Michael Bay is an idiot and it's hilarious that even Affleck, who isn't the brightest bulb in the chandelier, was willing to put it out there.

A good change of pace. Portrayed the human side of The Governor. Is he redeemable?

Maximus: For the glory of the Empire, sire.

Hated this episode. Couldn't give a shit about 'good' guv and new characters that will either be dead inside a few weeks or fade into the background. Agree with G, really kills the pace after last weeks awesome episode.

The thing that keeps bugging me though is why would he go back to the prison? Supposedly they will attack with tanks in the mid season finale, he was on his lonesome as well, which makes me thinks that some accident must befall the girl for him to go off his rocker again.

While I agree it does kill the momentum of last weeks awesome episode, it also does well to give us a break from Rick and the gang for a couple of episodes as the whole Prison drama then going out to find supplies and encounter zombie of the week plot week on week was starting to become a little wearing. They were in danger of another farmhouse season 2 situation.

Im interested to see where they go with this.

I was thinking to myself "Oh great, Martinez is back. And whose this Pete guy? We have two more interesting characters now!"

I really hope I'm wrong but is a mid season finale that stupid shit Breaking Bad did where they showed half a season, then showed the other half a year later?

Will make predictions for credits. Please, I'm so broke.

I was very disappointed with this last episode, huge letdown. I was intrigued by the idea of a Governor who has been emotionally broken and realized the folly of his hubris and callousness toward others. His words made him sound repentant and his behavior made him seem like he had turned a corner. I wanted to see where that man would go.

Then half an episode later... NOPE. Still a sociopath whose main goal is to be the guy in charge, even if it means killing everyone else he comes across. At first I thought he killed Martinez because he was a reminder of the old him, the him he didn't like to talk about. Then all of a sudden it turned out he was killing people just to take over this group. Same old shit. So the episode where he wandered might as well have been a dream he had, because it means nothing. Terrible character arc imo, in fact it feels like they had two different teams writing the two eps and the first team didn't actually have time to inform the second team about where they were sending him, mentally.

I guess, from the previews, we're gearing up for a full-on prison invasion a la the one in the comics, tank and all, which kind of sucks. In the comics, the Governor riding all crazy into battle on a tank was fun because he was a cartoonish one-dimensional character who was never really developed in any depth aside from his zombie daughter. This Governor is not the same and it will be a waste of his character.

It's only 8-10 week break between seasons...they do that because of sweeps in Nov and Feb which is when they sell ad time and ratings make a huge difference.

The mid-season cliffhangers never tend to be to annoying (Sophia comes out of the Barn, Tyrese shows up)
