I actually enjoyed the episode. It wasn't walking dead's best work, but it's good enough for a return.
Carl's arrogance nearly got him killed multiple times. It had me on the edge of my seat, but the little bugger managed to get away. I thought it was a little sad how he thought Rick was a walker, but he couldn't shoot him because he was his dad and he finally realized he can't do it on his own and he still needs his dad. That was a touching moment to me.
Carl is a tough kid and he's learned a lot, but he is still just a kid. Like how he tried to run through the door, but it knocked him down instead. He's got a physically weak body and that will hold him back. Even Beth could probably wipe the floor with him in hand to hand combat. At least he is realizing his limitations.
Also liking the character development in Michone.
I can see why this episode isn't liked, but I liked it. Just my opinion.
